The K5 is fitted with three filters to remove unwanted substances including chlorine, limescale, lead, sediment and pesticides to name a few. It also comes with a separate QuickFlo water tank and Victoria tap making it the perfect drinking water system for any home.

Stage 1: Pre-filtration 

The first filtration stage prepares the water for the reverse osmosis process by removing sediment pdivs 1/16” the size of a human hair and reducing chlorine to protect the reverse osmosis membrane and enhance its performance.

Stage 2: Reverse Osmosis Membrane 

After pre-filtration, water is passed through the reverse osmosis membrane where the primary cleaning is performed. Water is forced through a semi-permeable membrane under pressure where most minerals, chemicals or objectionable matter such as nitrates, fluoride, metals (including lead) are removed and flushed down the drain.

Stage 3: Volatile Organic Compound filter 

It then passes through a VOC Guard filter to remove volatile organic compounds (pesticides, paints, cleaning supplies and other materials).

Stage 4: Purefecta Bacteria/Virus Guard filter

The penultimate filtration process uses water through a Purefecta filter which is a certified microbiological purifier.

Stage 5: Air charged water tank

The filtered water is stored in our patented air charged tank. When required, the water will pass through the final post-filtration stage to deliver a steady, continuous flow of water from your tap.

Stage 6: Post-Filtration 

After leaving the QuickFlo tank, water passes through a MACguard® Filter. Containing activated carbon, the MACguard Filter gives a final polish to your water, by removing any remaining non-organic compounds that cause unpleasant taste and bad odours.

Stage 7: Tap 

The final protection stage is a high quality, lead-free tap, which is mounted on your sink.
